Two weeks ago Colorado experienced a horrible tragedy at a local movie
theater about 40 minutes away from where I live. Listening to everyone
stories on the news and radio has been very sad and unbelievable at the
same time. After the fire and now the shooting Colorado has really
banded together as a community and as a state. Fortunately I did not
know anyone who was affected by the shooting but it was scary for
everyone. John and I did go to the movies that week and you could tell
that everyone was a little on edge. The first movie John and I saw was Ted. If you love Family Guy then you will love this movie! This movie is funny, heartfelt, and has a really good story line. Ted, the Teddy Bear, is hilarious and Mark Walhberg does a great job acting opposite him.
The last movie John and I saw was The Dark Knight Rises. We saw it with our friends Brad and Alisha and everyone agreed that the movie was really great. I personally think the second movie with Heath Ledger was the best overall but the third was really great too. The supporting actors also did a great job as well. The bad guy, played by Tom Harding, was really good and really bulked up for the movie. The action was really great too.
All in all I have felt fairly safe while going to the movies these past few weekends but the security was definitely increased at all the theaters. I think that most of the people just want to go out and enjoy an evening without having to worry about anything.
