Cold - 4 Maggie - 0

I have had a pretty bad cold the last four days which include a runny nose, sore throat, and wicked cough.  Thankfully I think today is my last day with the cold, knock on wood.  Below is a picture of my top 6 "Must Haves" for any cold.  1. Kleenex...I have literally gone through an entire box each day.  2. Lotion for your nose...my nose was red and completely raw by the end of the first day.  I discovered that even though lotion doesn't take away the rawness it definitely helps in the long run. Just make sure your lotion does not have any alcohol in it, trust me that burns!  3. Vaper Rub...this is a MUST for anyone who has a cough.  Rub some on your chest before bed and it will help you sleep through the night  4. Sudafed....I get really intense sinus pain whenever I have a cold and so far the only thing that works for me is Sudafed.  5. Vicks Vaper Humidifier...This is the first time I have used this hand held humidifier and it works pretty good.  I use it for about 15 minutes before I go to bed and my nose dries out so I can sleep through the night.  I got it at Walmart for $8.  6. And last but not least Day/Night Quil or Musenix...these are definitely a must have for any old.  Day/NightQuil is good for helping you make it through the day/night while Musenix will definitely dry out your system if you have a runny nose  I highly recommend Musenix for that!

Last week before my cold hit a bunch of us got together to see the two newest babies in our group.  John and I finally met our friend Kate's new little girl, Ava and Melissa also brought Milo along to meet people too.  Below is a picture of Milo in his super cute Rubber Duck pants.  He looked so cute in them I had to take a picture!
 Milo and Ducks!

John and I also spent the weekend watching football AND baseball.  Even though the football season has started John has not let me forget that baseball season is STILL going on.  The Rockies are doing pretty good right now and we are hoping they go all the way this year again.  This weekend is their last home game of the season so I am excited to go with John.
Jim Tracy is the manager for the Rockies!
