Good Times & Good Treats

Sorry for the earlier post with random pictures and no words. Here's the real post. :o)

In the last year two of my friends have traveled over seas and had some pretty amazing experiences. Last July my friend, and former co-worker/spelling checker, Laura moved to Norway to spend a year in school getting her Masters. She finally returned home to Denver last week and had a big Welcome Home Party at the Atomic Cowboy which is a really cool bar/pizza joint in Denver. When we got there we ran into several co-workers (former and present) and had a great time catching up with everyone. After the party Melissa and I stopped by our friend Erin's house to see her baby girl again who is just too cute for words! (thanks for the picture Melissa)

Also traveling to Germany this year is our family friend Dane Watts and his wife Coco. Dane and Ashlie Watts grew up next door to us in Grandview and luckily they were the same ages as Mack and I. After graduating high school Dane went to Creighton University on a basketball scholarship. He dominated on the court so well that after graduating he and Coco moved to Germany to play overseas. Dane is currently playing with Tublingen (that's either the team's name or the town's name...I am not sure). Unfortunately their website requires you to pay in order to look at Dane's profile but if you click here you can at least see his picture on the website. Dane has become so popular in Germany that they even have a poster of him hanging in their version of Footlocker.

On Saturday we had a few friends over for Game Night. We played Boys vs Girls in Pictionary (the boys cheated and won) and we also played a lot of Tetris on Nintendo 64 downstairs.

Baby Awesome even made a trip over for Game Night and his little t-shirt did not disappoint. It's LINUS from Charlie Brown!! Imitation is the most sincere form of flattery.

My New Discovery! I have discovered the most yummy (and healthy) snack to eat. They are called "Delights" and they are yogurt parfaits made from Yoplait. They are only 100 calories and super delicious!! There are currently four different kinds and they are brand new from Yoplait. Click here to go to their website for a $1.00 off coupon. The "Delight" in the picture below is called Creme Caramel and the white part taste like cheesecake and the bottom part is all caramel yogurt. DE-LIC-IOUS!!
