But all that changed the day Southwest came into town. I can book a Southwest flight, on short notice, to Kansas City for less than $150. If I book my flight earlier in the year then I can even get it down to $100. They don't have the cute animals or the TVs but they are usually on time and the best part is you get to PICK YOUR OWN seat!
My transfer from Frontier to Southwest became official during my last trip to Kansas City. The weather was so bad that my flight was delayed 2 hours and then we spent another hour waiting for a gate to open once we landed. Two days later I received a personal email from Southwest apologizing for the delay into Kansas City and was given $50 to use towards my next flight. As if Southwest could not get any better there is no booking fee, no changing your names fee, no changing your flight fee, no checked bag fee (even if you check 3 bags), and they give you 2 bags of peanut per flight plus a drink! If you have to fly with anyone...check out Southwest first.
